Israel – the photo diary

Since I was young my Dad would regale stories about his time working on a kibbutz in Israel back in the 70s.  After years of yearning, and waiting for more peaceful times, myself and two friends set off for a weeks exploration armed with the original maps that my Dad had used 40 years previously.

We found a wonderful base in the new town of Jerusalem – Abraham Hostel.  They offer some great day trips all over Israel and the West Bank.

A lot of ground was covered in a week……

NAZARETH

HAIFA

JERUSALEM

MASADA, EIN GEDI & DEAD SEA

HEBRON – WEST BANK

BETHLEHEM – WEST BANK

When in the Middle East……

Finally, some wise words on the Israeli West Bank Wall…….

Wonderful photos – and the 40 year old map is but a blink of an eye in terms of the ancient city itself.

    Love
